The 30th CELEBRATION Card Set is a small, friendly anniversary product: pick your favorite region, get its three starters as holo promos, and open two packs of the newest Japanese set. It's a ¥1,200 buy, so it's more of a gift or a binder piece than an investment. Here's everything we could confirm from official sources, as of Oct 12, 2026.

What the Card Set is

The Pokémon Company is celebrating 30 years of the Pokémon Card Game. Alongside the 30th CELEBRATION expansion (M6a), which came out on Sep 16, 2026, it's releasing a line of Card Sets on Oct 16, 2026. Each one honors the first partner Pokémon of one of the 9 regions from the main video game series.

The official site describes them as full-illustration cards of "the Pokémon who became your first partner on your adventure." That's the hook: nostalgia, one region at a time.

All 9 versions at a glance

All nine release on the same day at the same price. Names below are the English names of the Pokémon on each set; the official Japanese product names list them in the same order.

What's inside each set

Every version contains the same three things:

  • 3 holo promo cards: one each of that region's grass, fire and water starter, all numbered in Japan's MEGA promo series (M-P).
  • 2 packs of 30th CELEBRATION (M6a): each pack holds 6 random cards.
  • 1 paper card stand: it holds 3 cards, so you can display your trio.

The 27 promos run from 101/M-P to 127/M-P, three per version, in generation order (see each lineup above). Every version costs ¥1,200, the official suggested price including tax, per the official 30th anniversary site.

These promos come out with the Card Sets on Oct 16, 2026, so there's no market price for them yet. TCGplayer had no listings for 101/M-P to 127/M-P as of Oct 12, 2026. We'll add prices once real sales data exists.

The 30th CELEBRATION pack

The packs inside

The two packs in every Card Set are regular 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) expansion packs, the same set that launched in Japan on Sep 16, 2026. That's the set with the special Pikachu cards and the Futuristic Rare chase cards. Our 30th Celebration Pikachu guide and M6a top cards list cover what you can pull.
