What's in a Battle Partners box

Each box holds 30 packs of 5 cards, so 150 cards. A sealed box with intact factory film is the easiest way to know it hasn't been searched. See how to spot a fake or resealed box.

Nothing in a Japanese box is officially guaranteed, but sealed boxes follow a strong pattern. See below.

What's guaranteed in a box

Sealed Japanese boxes follow a strong pattern: 1 Super Rare or better, 3 Art Rares and 4 Double Rares. It applies to factory-sealed full boxes only. Loose packs and resealed boxes don't follow it, and it isn't an official promise: The Pokémon Company prints only the box setup and that cards are inserted randomly. The pattern doesn't say which hit you get. A Special Art Rare isn't part of it. English Journey Together boxes have no box guarantee. Every English pack is random.
